Ullery clinches the Championship with a win in the Season Finale PDF Print E-mail

September 10th, 2011 - Troy Ullery clinches the Championship with a win in the season finale after a spirited battle with Brent Rees. Following them across were Chris Crowder, Brandon Steele and Dwight Hoelscher. Congratulations to Troy Ullery, his family and crew for winning the inaugural RMLSA championship.

Ullery tightens grip on Championship PDF Print E-mail

August 27th, 2011 - It was a HOT late summer night as 13 cars made the trip to I-76 Speedway. Troy Ullery tightened his grip on the championship with his 3rd victory of the season crossing the checkers in front of Paul Babich, Scott Heikes, Jeff Gieg and Steve Becker. The final finishing orders are as follows.

Heat 1 - Jeff, Gieg, Troy Ullery, Auston Pribbenow, Scott Heikes, Ewen Rees, Bill Rousch and Tim Snelling.

Heat 2 - Chris Crowder, Paul Babich, Troy Simpson, Dwight Hoelscher, Steve Becker and Brandon Steele.

Gieg makes it two in a row PDF Print E-mail

August 30th, 2011 - An impressive 17 cars made the long tow to Thunder Valley Speedway in Mosca, Co. Jeff Gieg made it two in a row as he swept the night winning his heat race and the main event. Jeff also tightened the points as he is 46 points behind Troy Ullery with 2 races to go. The finishing orders are as follows:

Gieg scores first career Victory PDF Print E-mail

August 13th, 2011 - Another outstanding 19 car field made the trip to I-76 Speedway on Saturday August 13th. Butch had the track in great condition again as he watered after the heat races. Jeff Gieg Started 8th on the grid and made his way to the front and had a great car that would go wherever he put it, slicing through traffic nicely Jeff was tailed for most of the race by Jay Sant. Jeff ran a clean race and beat Jay to the checkers by a comfortable margin, following them across were Chris Crowder, Matt Martinez and Troy Ullery. The final results are as follows:

Heat 1 - 61, 56, 69, 87, 4X, 17, 7, 39 and 5.

Heat 2 - 1, 24, 18, 07, 4, 26, 24F, 97 and 27.

The RMLSA will run it's one and only race at Thunder Valley Speedway in Mosca, CO this season on Saturday August 20th. This will be the final winged event of the season as August 27th and September 10th are non winged events at I-76 Speedway to finish the season.

 
Babich earns victory from the pole PDF Print E-mail

August 6th, 2011 - A spectacular 20 car field showed up to run Saturday, August 6th at Butch Speicher's I-76 Speedway. The day started out on a hot and dry track that looked to be a real challenge for the drivers. The heat races went off without a hitch. The results are as follows:

Heat 1 - #1 Troy Ullery, #87 Brent Rees, #31 Steve Becker, #4 Dwight Hoelscher, #39 Mike Snelling, #97 Bill Rousch, #24F Tim Snelling.

Heat 2 - #26 Chris Crowder, #61 Matt Martinez, #18 Jeff Gieg, #30 Scott Heikes, #17 Auston Pribbenow, #7 Scott wilson, #4X Doug Parker.

Heat 3 - #56 Troy Simpson, #71 Frank Martinez, #69 Paul Babich, #77 Ryan Dardano, #3 Rick Marchbank, #50 Glenn Waterland.

Following the intermission which was Fan Appreciation Day at I-76 Speedway in which the fans are allowed to come on to the track, meet the drivers and get a close up of the cars. I would like to thank Butch and the fans for participating in the event, without them both we would not be able to bring you great Lightning Sprint racing.  Butch threw a bit of a curve at all of the drivers following the Fan Appreciation day as he watered the track, however as he has done on a pretty regular basis here lately Butch gave us an excellent track to race on. The Main Event went 20 caution free laps as Paul Babich worked his way throuh heavy lapped traffic to take the checkers, Matt Martinez, Brent Rees, Troy Simpson and Frank Martinez rounded out the top 5. The final results are as follows:
